Pioneer sx1250 D.O.A. troubleshooting

OK I will lift a leg of each diode tomorrow night and, re test. I was underr the impression that diodes were OK to test in circuit from several forum posts on here. I will let you guys know my results tomorrow night. Thank you for all of your wisdom and guidance. I did have the individual boards disconnected from the circuit and transformer if that matters.

Still Waiting for the parts to arrive everybody, they were supposed to be here Wednesday. Once they arrive I will install and post my findings. I do not intend to let this thread go dead and repair it without posting my findings, and the solution to the problem.

Hi recapped and re-transistored, diode from a kit . I get no change when I try to adjust trimmer. it’s stuck on 70.4 and doesn’t change when I rotate the trimmer VR one regulates fine . All the amplifier boards adjust correctly can someone suggest which diode or a transistor is causing this issue thank you here’s some images of

Sorry for the long delay, it turns out the order never got completed. I went through and pulled all of the supposedly bad diodes and they all tested fine out of circuit so I reinstalled. I will keep at this, any suggestions of where to look next?

Dont take my word for it but My guess would, be that you have a diode in backwards, or a transistor in wrong the new transistors have to be installed backwards for the old ones because the base and emitter lead are on opposite sides as opposed to the originals. Check out the data sheets for the originals and the replacements and verify that you have them in the proper orientation.
