Thanks. I searched this morning and didn’t find what I was looking for. This afternoon I simply put “5.1k resistors” in the search bar. Finally got an explanation to why Pioneer did this.

Can someone here please explain to me why a 5.1K resistor is needed on the RCA inputs for the power amp inputs on many receivers to adjust bias and DC offset? I was messing with my SX-950 (haven't started recapping yet) and I didn't have the resistors but was fiddling a little with the VR1 and...

This is quite nice really. It shows how careful and pedantic the Pioneer design engineers used to be back in the 70s and 80s.
Although this resistor connection (as stated above) is technically unnecessary, what it is for is to gently pull the inputs towards ground in order to prevent any possible RF or hum pickup from causing the output stage to operate above quiescent drive levels while the offset is being calibrated.
