PL-630 rubber Isolators for turntable feet

Anyone know of someone who makes the PEB-102 rubber isolators that go on the top of the foot Screw before mounting the feet to the base of Pioneer PL-630 turntable. See them being made by a guy on E-bay periodically from Silicone casting. Looks like they fit other turntables below also. I have (2) PL-630 turntables that need replacements.

I replaced the boots on my springs using ones cast in silicone by the eBay seller mentioned in the first post of this thread. Just last weekend, finally.

They were very easy to install, are cast with factory quality precision, and perform perfectly.
 
Hi, does anyone know if these rubber cushions (boots) are still available or where can I find them?

PEB-102 -​

The easiest way to come around the supply problem of the sparepart PEB-102 is to use a bicycle tube cut in the right length.
By a tube with these dimensions: 24 x 1.50/1.75 (49/47-507)
I have repaired a lot of PL-500/600/630s with this little a cheap trick (hail to the band

) - a it has always worked flawlessly and just as good as PEB-102.
The reason I went from trying to find new replicas of PEB-102 to bicycle-tube and to this hack was the fact that there was abosolutely NONE on the the marked for years

Do you have any pictures of how this comes out? Pioneer isn't the only one that used this style of turntable suspension. I have a Technics SL-10 that has no feet at all and need to find some substitutes. Although there are generic substitutes available for Pioneer, Technics and other brands, they are usually expensive, and I don't fee like paying more $$$ just for four feet than the whole table.

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, I've never had a PL-630 on my bench. I would sure like to experience that particular SPEC matching TT someday. I was thinking more for the PL-540 and PL-A500 (JDM PL-530) I've experienced. The PL-540 I had came with NO feet whatsoever, so I had to improvise something.
 
the PL-630 and the PL-600 are undoubtedly some of the very best automatic TTs ever made. They surpass the Pioneers with stiff plinth with quite a margin. Its a very well functioning subchassis these two TTs have :-)

Great idea, plan to try it and then post some pics. Could you expand some more on what you did with the tube? Did you use a heat gun or someting else to form it to the spring? Or simply curl the tubing back to roll it around the spring base? Was wondering if large shrink tubing would work too
 
I have a PL-600 (70's version). When I first picked it up I broke it down and found the damper cushions (the rubber shock mounts) on the feet were shot. I have a few of the PL-X single digit series damper cushions on hand so tried using those on the 600. Took some cramming but they work like a charm. A few of the PL-X feet on the 'bay (no affiliation) for $20 or so. If all else fails, those will work with some patience and if you hold your mouth right.

I cut the tube in the right length, to fit the spring when it is in position after reassembling. I would think the lenght is about 3-4 cms. No need for forming it to the sping (You can´t do that to rubbertubes anyway) - it shall NOT be tight, it shall just dampen the vibrations in the spring by just touch the spring. If you use shrink tube you destroy the function of both the spring AND the spring-damping of the tube :-)

A bit confused on your explanation. The original piece covers the edge of both the bottom and top of the spring
Are you suggesting that you simply slide the inner tube over the top of the spring and call it a day? No insulation on the top nor the bottom of the spring? If I were to make a piece like this from a piece of shrink tubing, why do you feel it will not work? Why would it lose it's dampening affect if it were exactly like the original? My thought was to use a wooden dowel with three steps, slide tubing over stepped dowel, shrink and remove. Insert spring, shrink bottom, done.
