Awesome, thank you! I will put an order in later today. I may be able to buy a set from a local chain, I will check there before ordering online as some things are not in stock and I want to change these things as quickly as possible. I want to move on to my AU-9900 as well as TEAC A-4300SX and AKAI GX-4000D R2R players I just bought. :D
 
Any tips on getting screws off the output transistor heat sinks? I took two out I have replacements for, but they are STUCK and will not budge. I thought maybe some heat. I think the old, dry thermal paste has stuck the screw in place. Just not sure if heat will WORK for thermal paste as it does for dried grease in a TEAC R2R for instance.

It is meant to be heat resistant afterall! Will try tomorrow. Will have to get diodes and resistors online from Element14 as jaycar are a joke, over priced and have very few components. I may see if the resistors work out reasonable, IF they hace all I need. They have a 1/4 watt set of 300, but it has 60 varieties. I need more than 5 of each and would not need 70% or more. I doubt the Sansui or R2R's will need anything much above what the SA7500 needs!

EDIT: Sorry, last question. Is it okay to increase watts on the ceramics? Using 1/2 watt instead of 1/4 for instance.
 
I think your going to regret any further work your going to put into this amp. You are on the path to an unfinished project.
The damage which is still undiagnosed is probably way smaller than the extent to where this thread is going.
It’s clear your over your head. All this can be reversed if you educate yourself on the components and testing them. All you need is a DMM.
This observation is from many years of seeing similar threads.
There’s a ton of knowledge, experienced and giving members in this forum. Take advantage of the knowledge base.

My constant questions and things probably make me sound dumber than I am. I have a DMM and did check the the area around C11. I am only intending to do that area first, but I also plan to order a bunch of each resistor/diode/transistor so I have a stock for future use. I am not intending to change every single transistor on the four boards. All I am doing at the moment is making a list of different components and substitutes where needed so I can make an order. Everything is just planning at this stage. Once I have all the parts, I will test everything again and a resistor tests as bad, I will take it out and replace it.

EDIT: It will be fixed one way or the other because it is my main amp. My only amp! It is driving me crazy not being able listen to music. I am still waiting for all the caps to come in for the Sansui, so it is still not an option. May take another 2 or 3 weeks before I have them all as they are being sent as stock arrives.
