Pop Up Ads on AK

[62caddy]

Using a PC running Windows 10 using Google Chrome, pop-up ads appearing in vertical bar on left side (around 1/6 the way across) the screen making it AK impossible to view or use normally.

Never had this problem before. Changed browser in order to post this. I just ran McAfee and Google scans for viruses but none found. Any suggestions?

I started getting them this morning. Left side of the screen and large adds at the bottom. More then 50% of the screen is covered adds now. Sellwild and bidstreamserver.

Also having issues with GOBS of ads, blocking content...Safari on IPadOS. And I’m a subscriber, so shouldn’t be seeing these, right? It’s pretty bad atm...

I don't think it's fair that Best Buy gets an ad space 2x the size of Simply Speakers on a site like this. Doesn't seem right. Been on this site for a LOOONG time and seen a lot of changes, but the last few months' worth definitely put a damper on the experience here.

What's with this crapp! Can't AK block these or is this the future? It sure takes away from the AK experience!!!!!! We will be visiting other sites in the future. AK has gone down hill in the last year! Getting to be to many r oadblocks and interuptions. No more paying 25.00 for this experience.

I use Brave. Says it's blocking 6 ads. I stopped using Google about a year ago; best thing I did when it comes to internet browsing.

The bottom 'sticky' ad was to appear only for guests, i.e. not logged in. Since some users have been seeing that, depending on OS/browser configuration, that banner has been removed.

Political ads are showing up in a "bait & switch" scheme. Register for one thing, and the link provides different content. This is like the spammers we used to have, who used a hotlinked image of a period, instead of a period. Later, the file would be replaced by whatever spam content they wished.

Looking at the screenshots about ad content, I notice that all the ones I saw displayed the screen without the user having logged in. The left vertical banner, in particular, disappears, once the user logs in. This is evidenced by the posted photos.

The bottom ads are not going away, but they are at the bottom of the page.

Please make sure to log in, to eliminate most of the ads.
