Popping in right channel SX-1250

Very good job cleaning those contacts. I believe it's silver oxide. Contact cleaner to the contacts inside the moulded housings.
Apply glue to where the solid wires enter the body of the stv3h, although they are covered by the braided sleeving but you can pull it back a bit to apply the glue and let it go back into position and let the glue dry.
I don't know what an stv3h is. OK I did see a braided sleeve over the wires, will look at it closer. The glue is for what purpose?

I sprayed D5 into the plastic housings, I did not have anything small enough to penetrate the housing to wipe them out.

to give the wires extra support. the wire is solid, brittle and very very prone to breakage right where the wires meet the body. handle them with kid gloves. don't twist and bend them. handle them as little as possible.
I've used hi temp RTV for the same thing. Those stv wires are fragile.

Thanks, I will not bend them again. I was very careful with them

I have the 1250 all cleaned up inside and out, lemon oiled the wood. Every thing looks good.

I will test it in September and get back on here to report if the original problem still exists

Not confident it’s is fixed.

Going abroad for the next month and don’t want to be thinking about it if its still popping.

So I decided to just let it sit until I get back

Thanks everyone for the help and I will definitely let yall know what i learned in September

Well I am back from summer holidays and have plugged in the 1250.

I got a little piping from the right channel and nothing more and can not replicate the noise/sound.

Prior to cleaning I would get about 30 minutes of music and then the load cracking and popping would occur.

Seems like I have some how made things worse. SO glad I waited until all my time off was done, would not have wanted to be pondering this dilemma on holiday.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I can pull it back out and open it up but am kind of disappointed.

Not sure if all the participants to this thread will see this reply so I will copy and paste it as reply to the most active participants.

Thanks
