Could you clarify "purple laser?" - not aware of any such thing. Is this a violet or UV laser perhaps?

Anyway, it's gorgeous!

It's a 405nm laser pointer.

Thanks - this is at the extreme violet edge of the visible spectrum, which looks purple, but is made of a single short wavelength. A true purple is defined as a combination of long and short wavelengths.
