As much as I hate to do it, it's time to swap out my AVA Transcendence preamp (the one built on a Dynaco chassis.)

Here's what I want that I don't have now.
  • Remote control
  • Bluetooth
Here's what I want that I DO have now.
  • Phono input
  • High level analog inputs
  • Stereo/Mono switch
  • Very good sound quality
Here's what I don't care about.
  • DAC
  • Networking (aside from BT above)
Google 'stereo preamp bluetooth phono remote' doesn't do much. What's out there that you know about?

Have you contacted AVA to see if they can add a remote control to your preamp? Perhaps they can help you.

I use an Airport Express for streaming. Another option is Google Chromecast. Maybe one of these would work for you.
 
An issue I didn't mention is that there's a LOT of leakage among the inputs of the AVA preamp. It's probably going on 20 yrs and maybe switch isolation breaks down a bit. Maybe it's dust and dirt. So I kind of need a change. I'm rethinking the remote control necessity. Thanks for checking in. Half the fun is getting there, as they say.
 
How about a Parasound Classic 2100 and a Bluetooth dongle? Oops! No stereo/mono switch. Never mind.:oops:
