Preamp to subwoofer help

Well, have set up 2.1 in the past but no sound this time (I know the sub works as I have tried on other systems in my home). I have a parasound new classic 200 preAmp and a Klipsch sw110 subwoofer. I must be doing something wrong with the crossover

ideally would like to use the crossover on the pre amp

pics attached starting from scratch as I tried every combination for <80 hz, full range to the sub. I am using a single RCA cable

Start with the low-pass on the sub set to maximum (fully clockwise) and then adjust once you know the sub works.

You are running the single RCA cable to the LEFT / LFE jack on the sub, right?

Use the 80hz output on the 200 pre, then set the subwoofer's Low Pass knob to LFE , which defeats the subwoofer's internal crossover so that only 80hz and below is sent to the sub. Also set the High Pass crossover switch to ON and the dial at 60 to 80 hz.

I love the 200 Pre that I use with my Monitor Audio Silver 100s and Polk HTS 10 subwoofer set up that way. Make sure you don't have the sub turned off on the remote (been there, done that) and the sub volume set to 0 or higher.

well that did it thank you

and thanks to the others that helped make sure I was using the crossover on the pre amp. (Personal preference)

yes I do too love the 200 pre, couldn’t be happier with it. Spectacular Dac

I like the remotely adjustable tone and subwoofer controls - I wish my P6 preamps had that feature (supposed to be included on the upcoming P8 if they ever build it).
