TPBM has been disappointed when hiking by finding out something wasn't what he/she was expecting (view, summit or other point of interest).

No, I usually hike as an alternative to a gym workout, so views and points of interest aren't important to me. I have been disappointed with level of difficulty or terrain -- sometimes too muddy or too much/little challenge, flat trails, etc.

TPBM looks forward to something that happens with the change of seasons.

True- I really look forward to sweaty swamp ass, deer ticks carrying Lyme and mosquitoes.


TPBM has pulled a burrowed tick off themselves before.

True! I found out that it's best to smother ticks in petroleum jelly. A burrowing tick breathes through its anas, yeah, TMI, but necessary. Therefore if smother it, it can't breathe and has to let go.


TPBM has seen animals that were not believed to inhabit that particular area.

True. I often find evidence of human habitation on trails I thought nobody used.

TPBM has has a parasitic infection of one kind or another.

Actually, yes I did (minor infection), and my dog at the same time (major)...a Lyme Tick in both cases.


TPBM would if it were possible, would change one thing in the past.
