Prettiest or classiest ? that's more so the question.

Prettiest is the SX-xx80 series
Classiest is the SX-xx50 series

Sorry but the multi coloured indication lights don't do it for me, thus why I much prefer all the indicator lights to be of the same colour and that being the orange ones, as such the 50 series does it for me.

I really enjoy the power meters on the XX80 series. I agree that the classiest to me is the XX50s.

All of the SX receivers that I have saw look great to me. I think some look better than others but I'd have a hard time picking out the prettiest.

I recently got a very nice SX-850. Pioneer did a great job on that series. Even the lower end ones have real wood veneer and the faceplates are the same quality as the bigger siblings.

The x3x knobs are a metal shell with a plastic insert for the splined shafts. the X2X's are generally solid metal.

Gotta differ with that, Sir Larry! I have a 727 here on my bench, and have had to glue several of the plastic inserts back in. The tuning knob is indeed solid.

x50's, and x80's for me. But probably because these are what I loathed over growing up. Even as a child, I loved electronics, and still do to this day. Here's a pic of my my sx-780, and sx880.

Not really a fan of the x50 or x80's. But I DO like my SX-790. You get a generic pic because it's in the shed right now out of rotation while the SX-939 gets a workout.

Since I currently own a SX-1010, SX-939, SX-838, and recently sold an SX-737, I believe it is safe to say I am hooked on the blacked out glass and blue lights. But it really comes down to the sound. Would not kick a SX-1250 out of bed though.

Almost forgot about the SX-424 waiting to be installed in the sauna.

The SX-850 is the first one in that series that used real timber, all the ones below eg 450, 550, 650 and 750 were vinyl wrapped in fake veneer.

I've always thought the big xx50 models were the most attractive. I have an SX-1050 and it and the 1250 are probably my favorites. I've always really liked the SX-1010 a lot and the xx80's, but the big 50's seem more elegant and classy.
