Pro-Linear speakers thread

[doctor fuse]

Just picked up a free pair of Pro-Linear Stage 60 Series II speakers today. Butt ugly, but...they sound pretty darned good.

Any other love for this West Coast Canadian defunct company?

Interesting. Obviously a previous owner (or one of their kids) had a thing for dust caps. But I can't imagine they even come close to the ribbon speakers behind them.

Maybe he was trying to make a Burhoe inverted dome?

Yeah, not even close to those custom made ribbons, but a surprise that they sound as good as they do. Up to the attic bedroom they go!

Had a hard life, maybe you can treat them to some nice retirement duty. And the Canadian speaker makers of that era, they meant business. Think SPL and Paisley.
