• The move to the new server is done. There are some software and database maintenance updates in process. This has us passing the hat around to help out. We appreciate any donations. Seriously, even a dollar helps. The payment page may be found here - https://www.audiokarma.org/support.html

Problems logging in and out.

i'm not having any issues right now. i just tried to get it to act up like earlier but it seems good. seems a LOT snappier too.

keep up the good work.

Cloudflare. :)

The exponential rise of AI crawlers has changed the hosting game and caused all kinds of issures for sites. Google is pushing for all sites to be lightning fast or dissappear from search. Users always want a faster internet. Audiokarma can't higher the fanciest servers on the planet.

Cloudflare is the magic layer between all of that. Caches massive quantities of the internet and puts them local for people. Can be an incredible tool.

It also can block people from getting recent versions of the page if the settings are too aggressive..... which can be a problem during login.

SHoudl be fixed for everyone if it is open for you cats.

Faffing...that seems like a good word.

Is there an English American English equivalent?
Yes 'Faffing'... - 'farting' is a close approximation.

'A British English informal phrasal verb that implies being busy without being productive, often while delaying a more important task'.

"What a Faff"! , "Just faffing around", "A complete faff" and so on. :)

Hey - any chance you guys could give this a test again? There were some caching rules as a part of the new ongoing fight with ultra-aggressive AI crawlers that might have been too strict.
The 503 error seems to be gone for me, but many times there persists a hangup on page loading.

Sometimes a page refresh works, sometimes not. I've been on for less that 10 mins this morning and it's happened three times for me, including upon logging in. The login page hung, I refreshed, and I was logged in.

I think you are describing the effects of the external malicious Internet actors that have been bombarding this site for the last few weeks. AK can't do much about this, and has upgraded and tweaked the site software for best resilience to the problem, that's about all that can be done.

Personally I've got used to it, but my mind wanders to thoughts of making approaches to Internet 'White Knights' (ethical hackers) - who infiltrate scammer and DDOS sites and wreck them - just for fun. :)

Also of note, I did not get an alert upon your quoting me above. Oh well.
