if you have a cellphone with a good camera there are apps that allow you to use your phone as a scanner and convert your pictures to pdf.therescsome freevones and some you have to pay for.i use a app called tiny scanner .no need to buy a scanner unless you need one for everyday use.i use the app for mostly manuals and it seems to do a good job from what i have tried so far.you even get to choose the format a4,etc..

They certainly pulled no punches. I remember them testing an amp that was rated at 60W (?) into 8 ohms. However, when they started going to 4 ohms, the output dropped to around 35W.

The Kenwood/Trio KA-7100 got a "recommended" status, which is still very respectable.

i have one of the 3 sansui's chosen , the au-3900 ..... i believe these came out around 1977 ....... not much said about them here but i was pleasantly surprised by its performance , sweet little amp , nice detail / strong low end and thats in original unrestored form .

picked it up 3 yrs ago craigslist 75 bucks ,....iv'e been using it 8hrs a day for 3yrs now in my workshop , it hasn't skipped a beat....... previously in the shop i was using an au555a .. then an au-505 both began sounding a little dull/muddy so i pulled them out of service for the 3900 and to my surprise the 3900 blew the other 2 away but i know it's an unfair comparison as the 5's are in desperate need of cap's etc.

Really good thread very interesting read this kind of articles that today are a treasure to have a better idea how's going the amps in the 70's which are high-end amplifiers and in their best electronic condition, will be great have these kind of test and reviews from the 90's amps.
