Q Up auto tonearm lifter

Picked up a Q Up tonearm lifter for my Rega RP6. Happy with the way it turned out. Easy install and looks good on my turntable. Installation easy with double-sided tape.

Having an auto Thorens for a while spoiled me. Nice little unit to back you up when you are not on the ball.

Did not like the price at first but after owning it for a few years I do not not want be without it. (see avatar)

I bought one had to return it wouldnt fit my mmf-5 are there anything silimar that might work on my tt.

I checked one out at the local shop and was put off by the fact it had no damping; it just springs up with a sudden jolt.

So you guys find it works okay once you introduce the weight of the arm?

I would really like something like this as I would listen to records more if I could stay on the couch longer than 22 minutes at a time.
 
steve p. There is "The Lift" and the AT versions. I have the AT6006 unit. Very elegant. I had a QUp and hate the look on the table. Returned it to Amazon. My opinion. Looks cheap.

You can adjust the spring force and with the arm it's not bad. Not as gentle as the AT but after some fine tuning it is not as scary as it was when I first installed it.
 
I had 2 Rega P3's. An older one with an AT 6006 lifter, it had the S shaped arm. And a newer one with the straight arm, no lifter. I liked the lifter so much I sold the table with the "better " arm.
Having an arm lifter sure is nice.

I use one on my second table and after fiddling with it, I'm still unable to get it to gently lift up. However, I've used pretty high compliance carts, which I'm assuming are a bit more delicate, (Pickering XSV3000 with Jico Shibata and AT 150mlx) with this gadget for over a year with no ill effects.

It does make a bit of a popping sound when it lifts up, and that takes a little getting used to.
 
I have one for my Rega P3-24 and love it!
Easy to set up and very convenient to have installed. (I've been known to nod off while listening to records :D)
IMO a great addition to manual tables.
 
Picked one up today for the Teac TN-300. Love the turntable, but sometimes the baby falls asleep on me and I can't make it across the room.

By the way, I'll never buy a manual turntable again. It's auto return or GTFO.
 
Use one on the Versalex. Have never adjusted spring (didn't know you could) and have had no trouble apart from positioning it, as I have to move it when I put the lid over the turntable ( designed lid before I got q-up).
 
I cancelled my order for the Q Up. Ordered it while at work, came home, took one look at the Teac TN-300 and knew right away there is simply nowhere to mount it. Maybe if the tonearm were a little longer there would be a bigger gap between the pivot and the platter, but there's NADA. Dammit.

I got the QUp once, but didnt worked for my table (a Lenco). Then I ordered the Arm Levitator.

No affiliation. It works great, looks good and has a smaller footprint than the qUP. It also feels nicer than the qUp thats made of plastic.

I just sent an email to the guy, and payed via paypal. Delivery was quick.

I've been using it ever since.
