First of all, let me mention that I didn't know where else to post that question, as neither "Digital Sources" nor "Tape" seemed to fit - so I deemed "General Audio" most appropriate...
Anyway, I regularly connect my PCM-M10s to the included wall-wart power supply every one to three months for a couple of hours in order to recharge the internal MS614SE cell. And usually I have the power switch on "hold" position in "stop mode" for that purpose. However, today I forgot about the hold, when I charged unit #3, but the display was still on, when I wanted to disconnect it again after 12 hours. This seemed odd to me, so I reconnected unit #1 for a check, but that also didn't turn off the display after 10 minutes in "stop mode", as the the manual would imply.
So now I wonder: Is this the normal behaviour, if the PCM-M10 is connected to its external power supply (I didn't have any batteries in the battery compartment, btw...), and Sony just forgot to mention that different behaviour in the manual - or is there something wrong with my PCM-M10s or the wall-wart power supply?

P.S.: Haven't checked unit #2 yet, neither the power supplies of unit #2 and #3, as I thought it would be a better idea to first ask other users/owners, whether they've also noticed that deviating behaviour - especially as my place is still equipped with rather outdated power wiring with just one single circuit and fuse for everything (and it's also still wired with "classic nulling", i.e. without separate protective ground), so I can't quite exclude the possibility of disturbances (e.g. from turning lights on/off or maybe from the fridge or whatever).
