Quick answers, if pos. pls. - Vintage Receivers

looking at pictures id say that the H/K 630 and 930 have the same knobs.
And the 7, 3, and 430 use the same. This might not be the same for all the 3/430's as some of these have a letter after their name, might be different revisions. A, B and C etc. the ones I looked at were a 330C and 430B wich both had the non pointy knobs of the 730.

EDIT: Found a pic of a 330b wich seems to have the pointy knobs

Additional Input Needed Pls.

Thanks for being persistent on those knobs Davo, I'll focus more fully on those when I've figured out what's causing the left channel to dissapear every so often.

Yes, it comes and goes! I notice that touching the metal components of the case creates a 'crackle' noise sometimes (touched by hand or by antenna connector) and this sometimes seems to cause the L./ channel sound to go or come back, that's why I thought it may be a 'short'. Also turning the balance to-and-fro brings back the sound (but that could be due to 'touching' it rather than 'turning' it). Also, the sound seems to go away more 'easily' at higher volumes. IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS (BEFORE I TAKE IT IN TO BE SERVICED - LETTING IT GO IS NOT AN OPTION FOR ME NOW!), PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Thanks, og.

OH, PS: How important is it to connect the 'Ground' connector on this model???
