Quick relay question... hope a quick answer.

Hey all, Got a new relay for my 2265B. The relay looks pretty much identical except the original has non used legs that are cut off flush to the relay. The new one has all the pins intact. Should I cut off the unused pins, or can I jut leave them not connected. Pins 1-4 have no solder pad on the pc, but pins 10 and 11 have solder pads and the pins are flush to the relay, so there is no connection on the solder pads. If I install it the way it sits, there is a chance that a connection would be made on these pins, should I cut off the pins?

Well, I just couldn't wait, so I cut off the two pins in question. I would still like to know the proper procedure if someone knows. Thanks Rich

Thanks Runningdog, I guess I should have read the sheet that came with the relay telling me to 'compare to existing relay and remove pins as necessary' as this relay fits many units in different configurations. I really have to start reading instructions first! Thanks again Rich
