Interesting. I just saw a pair of Radfords today at my buddies record/gear store and was just about to do an AK search to see what they're about.

Didn't get to hear them, but I'm going back this week to see if I can. He's looking for $599 but it's apparently negotiable.

I'd consider them but I've already got a pair of Lenteks that I'm more than satisfied with. I would like to hear the Radfords for comparison though.

That was their top of the line model back then. I can tell you this much, most Radford early 70's models were distributed in Canada through a retailer called Audiorama which still exists today. They would buy up the drivers and build the cabinets by hand. They assembled most cabinets with "NAILS"!!! They still sounded super back then. I had a buddy who owned the Studio 270s and that musta been the best 70's system I'd heard in a home (even if the cabs were nailed)!

When you consider early 70's Studio series 90, 180, 270 and 360, check for nails if they come from Montreal !!!!!

The pair I saw used Robertson screws, definitely a sign of Canadian manufacture but they could have been installed by the owner to replace the nails.

my s90's also use robertson screws.

i just read your posts on the lenteks that you own and it seems that they are about as rare as the radfords are here in canada.i suggest you go have a listen to the radfords,who knows you might like them.in case youhavnt seen my thread on the ones i picked up here it is .http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?p=2224041

Saw that when I did the search for info. I am quite interested in hearing them but comparison won't be straight across because of room environment. Should be no trouble to arrange.

Going by serial numbers, less than 400 pairs of the Lenteks were sold. That may or not be accurate, but is best guess based on the available info.
