Rare Kenwood KD-750 on the 'Bay...

Nice table. Too much $$.

The 850 was the TOTL, contrary to his text. But the 750 is prettier.

Anthony- did you have both this and the Sansui 929 at the same time? I know Max7even had or has this along with the Sony PS-8750, another looker.

I noticed the price jump in all of the above, as well as some of the upper JVC QL series, and the Technics SL-1100.

Vinyl mania has got some folks forking out more than normal this last year.

The kids have discovered vinyl, Paul. My daughter is sending all kinds of spinner wannabes to me for their first table. I am happy to oblige and send the audio karma around. Most of the young folk aren't able to buy or need the better TT's. They are happy with the lower/mid level tables. Now, if I could only get them to clean their vinyl.:D

They will eventually get there (cleaning that is). It is VERY encouraging that they are discovering vinyl and willing to step out from their texting and iPod crazed world.

Looks nice. This would be nice completion of my Kenwood 700 M/C with the 600T...
Thanks for posting.

Sancho,

hope you can work out a deal with the seller.

To me, this is the prettiest of ALL the Kenwood offerings, and in general one of the nicest looking tables out there.

Well my conern (next to the budget issue) is the shipping. i did get an old Marantz 6100 last year and the lady did a spectacular packaging job. This (and some other tables) are very heavy and can be damaged easily, even when well packaged. The other issue with these is some had significant speed issues. I agree - next to the Sansuii 929 this is one of the coolest vintage tables.

I did own the SR-929 and the Kenwood KD-750 at the same time Paul. Performance wise, its pretty close with the edge going to the SR-929. Looks wise, not even close, the Kenwood is a MUCH classier looking table.
