I just picked up a set of S-T500 speakers and they sound great to this point. They seem to be the vinyl covered relative of the tz-7 from what I have found locally and online. Still getting them dialed in, and haven’t pushed them yet. They have plenty of tight bass and good clarity. If the tz-7 are similar as I have been told, they are a good speaker for sure.

I have the TZ-9s and they are fantastic. The TZ series was deigned by Pioneer's Technical Audio Devices (TAD) division which makes professional grade speakers for studios etc. When I bought my TZ-9s, the owner also had a pair of TZ-7s but I had no opportunity to listen to them. The TZ-7s are even rarer than the TZ-9s. If they are a reasonable price, they are definitely worth your while.

I got a set of the S-T500 speakers last summer with one bad tweeter. I had an ebay saved search for a year and finally a set showed up about 3 weeks ago and I got them with BIN. It's been three weeks now and it isn't here and after five messages to the seller and I have no response. So the search continues.
The same tweeter is used on the TZ 7, TZ 9, and the S-T300. If anyone has any of these, take care because they are hard to find.

S-T500 are amazing. I “lucked” into mine looking at a SX750. This was 3 months into my fall down the vintage rabbit hole journey. 750 died before I got to see it. Seller felt horrible. I walked out with HPm100’s and the T500’s not knowing how great they were. They can handle anything my KR9600, Model Eleven Iii or SX1050 give it. Last week I lucked into my T300’s. NIB never hooked up. Bought in Japan in 90 and shipped back. If you ever get a chance to buy DO So!! My HPM100’s not even hooked up to any of the big 3 I own. Speaker heavy I guess. I want the T100’s to fill it out. Very fortunate to own both.

also, my set sits on stands that wer offered for the s-t500's yet i have not seen another single pair with them.they raise the height of these speakers considerably as well.

There is a single speaker (s-t500) on ebay now ending Thursday at seattlegoodwill with no bids sitting at $50. Tempting but not worth 3 to 4 hours on a good day with Seattle traffic. I messaged them to verify the tweeter as good but didn't hear back.

Craigslist Chicago has a set of S-T300 for sale at $50 OBO. They look clean. Might be the tweeter you guys are looking for. Best of luck.

I finally found a pair of tweeters and only need one so if you are interested in the other, PM me.

I've been using these, Pioneer S T500s, for a few days now and in my opinion these are awesome speakers. Plenty of bass and excellent detail and the soundstage is also very good. The only downside, if it is a downside, is the weight of 70 pounds. Rear firing woofer requires them to be off the wall, in my case about 18 inches.

I just got a pair of T-100’s. They sound great except for...wait for it...a blown tweeter . I would love to take the tweeter off your hands. Or to the gentleman that would like to round out his collection, these cabinets are in need of a refinishing, but everything sounds great outside of the blown tweeter.

Actually I was blown away by the bass response and how even the frequencies were only being a 2 way speaker. 3 way with 2 woofers and 1 tweeter however you want to say that.

If the gentleman with the collection wants them I’d only want a pair of bookshelves that sounds as close to as good. Then he could take the tweeter and the speakers.

I lucked out and found a T300 set for sale an hour from me. I grabbed them just to have an insurance policy on my other T300’s and T500’s. Now just need a set of T100’s. Great speakers if you ever have a chance.

I’m picking up a set of S-T500 on Friday and just came across a listing for the T300 today( $50) How do they compare sound-wise? Should I grab them?
