Rare Pioneer speakers? S-T500's and TZ-7's.

Hell yes. My 300’s (have 2 sets) have been the main players lately. They have a slightly smoother sound and reproduce very well. I run my SX7730 through them and it’s a nice match. Hope you have them by now

Grabbed a set of S-T100’s for the clean sweep. 100’s are just as good as the 300 and 500. Incredibly lucky to have found all 3 of the models. As someone else mention, I too am amazed they get that much sound from a speaker that size. Well worth it to own these if you have a chance. And this is from an owner of HPM150’s.

Hey what part of the States are you in? There is a set of 300’s in PA but he won’t ship. There is also a set of 500’s in Illinois for sale as well. Both low priced. Both on FB marketplace. P
Top off this amazing run from HPM100’s to T500 and the whole S-T lineup sweep, I just grabbed a set of DSS9’s today-non original woofers. I will wait patiently for them to pop up.

I’ve been eyeing a set close to me but the seller has been flaky with his response. Still being patient

Update: I actually picked up a set of tweets on eBay today!! I’ve been watching his auction for weeks as the price declined from $199 originally. I finally made an offer of $100 today and paid the counter offer of $110. Came out too about $60 apiece with shipping.
Damn these tweets are hard to find, Can’t wait to fix the ST-500 & get them up and running

I had a saved search on ebay for over a year before I googled the part number (DT 140A) and found a pair from another source. I just looked again and didn't see anything but it might be worth trying now and then.
 
Somehow missed this thread earlier when I was looking at the TZ-9.

I now have the S-T300 which I am very impressed by.

I am wondering if the midranges from the 500/TZ-7 could be used in the TZ-9? I know they are different drivers but would it work?
 
After looking at the line for the S-T series... is the subwoofer featured S-W1000 junk? Just wondering if it might be something to pair with the 300s..
 
Just reading this thread as I have a pair of S-T300's with blown tweeters and was trying to find some replacements, I can't find originals so looking to find something similar does anyone know what the original tweeter specs are or how many ohms they are at least?
