What is posted is from the spec sheet for the relay.
The point is if this relay is used where it is activated for a certain function and/or mode and the receiver is left in that mode and powered on for 24/7 there may be issues. It is just a heads up.
The contacts on a reed relay may be hermetically sealed with an inert gas and mercury wetted contacts or they may have dry contacts for less demanding applications.

This is just one supplier, various coil voltage and coil current rating are likely available.
A reed relay would certainly be more robust over time. That is why I prefer the American Relays suggestion and I've seen the American Relays type relays used in work by Kale and Amp8.

Of course there is Omron G5V-2 24V, and the example I proffered here is the second time I have seen it used as a substitute for the Hitachi reed relays I mentioned above.
But the solution you suggest seems not to have been tried for those Hitachi relays.
Which is a bit of a mystery to me as well.
It seems a logical way forward but no one has done it.
If using the reed relays suggested by I LIKE MUSIC have been put into service...
I would love to see it. Seriously.
So if anyone can post pics of that work, please share.
