Realistic 42-2930 pre-amp

I would love to hear any opinions of, and experiences with, this vintage pre-amp.
What modifications can be done?
What components should be replaced?

Sold these years ago, 70s. You may be able to disassemble it. Replace the caps? Back in the day you could probably get replacement caps at Radio Shack. My two cents. Vintage electronics used to sell a knockoff of these. May still be available. Was $29.

Thought I would resurrect this thread as I don't find much about this particular little box. I have read through some threads here and other places about the other Realistic phono preamps and some folks love them. I bought this one in the mid 70's so I could use a better turntable in my cheap stereo until I could afford better. Didn't want to ruin my records so the first upgraded component was a turntable. I opened up this little box the other day and I do not think it has the same circuit as the other RS phono stages. If I have read correctly, the transistors are 2SB175 which is a germanium PNP type. Anyone else ever work on this unit??
