Realistic STA-150

You are correct the STA65c is OTL. The transformer coupling on the SAT65 series ended with the "B" model (my error). As to the difference between the C and D models they are under the skin completely different products made by two different OEM manufacturers. as I stated in my earlier post the C is a Hitachi product and the D a Foster OEM (Foster was a prolific OEM manufacturer even manufacturing the "Sterotech" Models for McIntosh)

I am original owner of a STA-150. If I read that catalog page correctly, it says output is from 4 to 16 ohms. Could I run KLH model 20 4 ohm speakers with it? The back of unit says 8 and 12 ohms. Thanks.

Realistic STA-225

Someone needed information on the Realistic STA-150 during the transition period from the old server to the new server so the thread was lost, I think. Anyway, here is the radio Shack catalog page scan for the STA-150.

That same lost thread also requested info on the STA-220 but after searching through all of my old RS catalogs I was not able to find it listed. I may have overlooked it. If anyone can post what year it was introduced or shown in a catalog I can scan the page and post it later.

When I first registered back at the end of September, I posted a couple of questions and comments about my STA-225 which I bought at Goodwill for $17.99. It's tuned to the local classical FM station and on all day at low volume. A previous owner cut 2 of the built-in antenna wires on the back so it does not pick up any AM but I guess I could simply solder them back together someday.

The STA-150 looks very similar and the description explains several functions that were slightly mysterious to me. Thanks for posting that. I couldn't find my previous post(s) and was unaware of the server transition.

NOTE: Just found my original post. http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=395057

Thanks for that information. Do you know of any source for a manuarl/schematic for a STA-150 or STA-225? My local expert who is retired is having to proceed by trial and error and said a schematic would help him but could not locate one. Thanks again.
