Realistic sta 2080 humming noise

Hello everyone this is my first post. I recently got to try my realistic sta 2080 for the first time on my own sansui sp z99 speakers and I noticed when I powered on the unit there was a constant humm noise coming from both speakers any insight on how I could resolve this issue?? I'd like to fix it before I hook up my klipsche kg4. Thankyou in advance!

Hello Nelson and welcome to AK. A little more info will help to try and determine what is going on. Is it a "loud" hum? Or more subtle? Does the "hum" begin as soon as you power it on? Or does it start after the protection clicks and the speakers kick on? And, does the volume knob have any effect on it?
A little history of the STA-2080 would help too. Did you own it and it worked before? Or did you just get it and this was how you got it? And, if you know, has anyone ever done any work on it before?
