Recap and restore Harman Kardon HK 330B (recap BOM under development)

I am doing some work on it now and was wondering what you ended up using for the 3k and 100k trimpots on the main board? From the picture above they don't look like the ones in your BOM. I know the originals are two leg and was looking for a replacement since most are three leg.

I used Bourns 652-3309W-1-104 100K 0.5W single turn and Bourns 652-3309W-1-502 5K 0.5W single turn. They both have three legs, so I modified them:
  • bent and then shortened the middle wiper leg
  • added some solid station wire to connect the stump of the wiper leg to one of the other legs
  • then spread both remaining, outer long legs to fit through the original holes in the PCB
It wasn't pretty, but it functional and solid.

I've got a second unit to refurb (months from now) and I'll try the Bourns 100K 0.5W single turn 652-3352T-1-104LF and 5K 0.5W single turn 652-3352T-1-502LF for that one. Several people have suggested Pfifer (sp?) trimpots for a better fit. Maybe I'll buy both or all three kinds and report back what fits or works best.
