Recapped Pioneer SX-3700 value

I have the opportunity to buy a recapped clean and working pioneer sx-3700 on ebay for 500 dollars what do you think?

A bit high IMHO. I had one from my father in law, after he passed away. All original and worked. Tried selling it on Bartertown for 50 dollars and no takers. Lots of people on here can do a recap on this unit. If they didn’t want it for 50 dollars I’m of the opinion it is not thought highly enough to put a couple hundred in to restore. Those are my experiences.
