I would like to drive my soundbar that has remote subwoofer with my receiver.
Main reason for using the soundbar with receiver is to utilize the remote subwoofer.
Is this possible?
Thanks in advance

I just don’t understand why I’d I’m trying to drive my soundbar with my tuner how that isn’t relatable to Tuner
Look, punker moved your insipid post to the general forum where it would get more exposure and you might get more answers. but, with your confrontational attitude I wouldn't expect too many to come rolling in.

and, again, it's NOT a tuner. Your "tuner/amplifier" is called a receiver by those that know what they are talking about, Consider yourself disabused.

Learn the proper terminology if you want to play in this sandbox and you might want to accept gentle correction more graciously.

Welcome to the forum. you're off to an auspicious start.

My bad Skipper, I’ll take my lashings and move on :)

Okay now that that is cleared up, help us help you.

What make & model Soundbar is it ? same question for the receiver, I ask because hopefully based on the answers we can ascertain what kind of connects you have on both that might ot might not be able to accomplish what you want to do.

Thank you
Receiver = Yamaha/RX V620
Soundbar = Yamaha/YAS-203

Keep in mind that many soundbars have a pretty noticeable latency built in. I believe this is necessary to sync with a TV. I bought an all-in-one Visio soundbar, (sub built in), to use as a desktop guitar amp for a stereo guitar front end. (Like a Vox Tonelab, Yamaha MagicStomp, et al.), and the latency made it un-do-able. On a guitar, you can't have a note play a few milliseconds after you hit it.

So, if you're going to use this just for music, it may mess up the main/sub sync. Just a thought.

actually, that IS the topic. ain't no guarantee it'll work. I pointed you in the right direction. you might want to explore the manuals for more info. the answers you seek lie within. don't expect us to do all the work for you, hitting the books might be a good learning experience for you.

and, not all sound bars are the same.

I understand and appreciate your help. Will def read the manuals I have one for the Soundbar and need to download the manual for the receiver that was given to me.
Just replaced my Carver amp and tuner with this Yamaha receiver and got me wondering.
Currently have a few turntables and systems but no expert.

remember. we don't own your equipment nor do we want to try what you want to do. All I/we can do is offer our best guess and leave it up to you to try it and work out any kinks.

I provided a link for the receivers manual. do you even read my posts?

I read it, meant download your link
Need to study more on the receiver but looks like I need to either go optical or rca out from tv to the receivers bd/cd-r input in order to utilize the optical bd/cdr output you recommended since it’s the only output on this receiver.
Going to test the rca out of tv but buy another optical cable in them meanwhile
Thank you for the help!!

It looks like your remote subwoofer came bundled with your soundbar (https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/sound_bar/yas-203/specs.html), so you shouldn't need to involve your AVR/receiver to use the wireless sub (in fact it might be difficult or impossible to drive the wireless sub with your AVR/Receiver).

I have a set of Advent speakers I’d like to use along with the subwoofer that’s attached to the soundbar.
Could use a Boston acoustic subwoofer non wireless so I have to either buy a wireless adapter or run 20ft rca cable across my room.
