Recommend a headshell for GT-2000

Hi guys,

she arrived!





I installed the HS-1A Yamamoto and the Audionote IQ2.

In regards to the alignment are you using a specific protractor?

I used the universal Baerwald and Loefgren protractor.

She sounds absolutely awesome.
I struggled a bit with a lound humm of the right channel but it seems settled.

There are more modest offerings like this which won't break the bank:

As a relative middle ground I have had good experience with the Mint protractor. So have others. I'm sure that there are other just as worthy products.

I find the mirror-type protractors the easiest to use with good results.

While the E-800 in your avatar looks nice, your Sansui is even better to my eyes. Enjoy your very nice rig.

Congratulations esteboune. She is a beautiful anchor that will keep you well in entrenched in the rabbit hole that is this glorious hobby. The more you put into isolation and upgrades the better it gets. I'm not sure there's anything I like more than seeing a nice piece of glossy vinyl sitting on those giant platters.

if so, how would one go about aligning that thing with a cartridge like the Denon DL-103R?

the Denon has two holes.. this cartridge has 2 sets of threads..
how can I rotate and align the cartridge?

or would that headshell accout for the length of the YA-39?


I'll use the Yamamoto for my Ortofon Rondo Red and am looking for a silver headshell for the Denon..
13g headshell should pair nicely with the 8.5g cartridge, I presume?

The whole metal shell can be loosened and slid backwards and forwards along the metal cylinder that plugs into the arm. It also allows rotational adjustment for setting correct stylus azimuth.

Googling pictures of the HS-11 will show
"Yamaha HS-11"
printed on the side.
But no ebay offering has that print. Are these all fakes? Was that just a sticker that comes off over time?

This headshell just looks incredibly simple considering the insane prices they ask for it.
