I'm also hoping to pick up the Miles 10" Prestige Box Vol. 2. Is Sony offering any more Miles Davis Mono re-issues this time around? The last few RSD Mono's were excellent.
 
I found the list, but from another site... see above.

I don't see any more Miles Davis, but this keeps changing right up to the day.

There's also "Calling Planet Earth", by Sun Ra -- I bet that's a cool record. I saw the him and the Arkestra in the very early 90s, before he departed our plane of existence.

Is there a complete Jazz orientated RSD list available? There's a ton of RSD titles in general. Has even a complete RSD list been made available? I don't seem to see that with the link you supplied.
 
The list that I posted is not from the main RSD site. Keep watching the main RSD site, where info tends to emerge as the day approaches. I don't recall (in the past) that they organized the list by genre. Interestingly, they have added a historical archive of past RSD release lists (but not by genre -- by year): there is a link to it at the right of the main RSD page.
 
RSD facebook page says the complete list will be released 3/10.

I was happy to see The White Stripes Get Behind Me Satan will be released for RSD.
 
Jack White Pays $300,000 for First Elvis Recording, Reissuing It on Record Store Day

Jack White has revealed in an interview with Billboard that he was the mysterious bidder on the first vinyl record ever cut by Elvis, which recently sold for $300,000. The record in question featured covers of "My Happiness" and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin" that were recorded in 1953. In the interview, White reveals that he was the bidder that was previously listed as anonymous, and he said that he plans to reissue the single (via Third Man Records) on Record Store Day.

I'll go to Amoeba on the first day right after my main store that I suport.

The problem, although I did get a lot of records for others I still have a bunch that I thought others would buy. I did bump the thread about a week ago and sold 6 records again in a day.

I just wish I didn't have so many Velvet Underground's they were up there in price and not one was sold.
 
I realise that the whole idea of RSD is to go in and support your local record shop, but here in Gisborne the closest one is a 6 hour drive away and that's just not gonna happen, and was wondering do they allow online buying? or is that just not allowed on that day? first in first served, I hear some even sleep out over night to get the best picks :scratch2:
 
Hi Daza -- the main RSD webpage has a search engine to find participating stores, even internationally. As far as I know, it's the same date (worldwide), and by design, RSD does not sell any records on a website -- however, the RSD records often turn up (and quickly) on eBay, at a markup.

Thanks Fred, I have checked it out and found many stores that are participating however none in our city :sigh: I am trying to recall how the situation went down last year.....I believe they told me the same as you say but the records if any left are available online at their websites for sale then, which just means missing out on the good ones :tears: I think it's terrible that some see this as I chance to buy and sell :nono: and I think here they restrict the number of LP's you buy or is it one only of each title no buying 10 of something so that is good so that everyone gets a chance to get a record of their favourite artist. :yes:

These would be my first 7" 45's don't have a one yet. Do you see any of these titles running out the door?
 
The Miles Davis/Prestige Volume 1 box was priced at $80-$90 around here. Excellent pressings.
