These are actual re-issues (same look and feel) of some original ten-inch LPs by Prestige from the 1950s -- this is before Kind of Blue, which was on Columbia

The Volume One that I bought was also a good pressing, except for side two of the last (in sequence) record -- the one with the all-blue cover. About half of the tracks on that were crackly and a bit noisy. After I played that side like three or four times, the problem cleared up. I guess I just needed to use my Ortofon 2M Red to clean the pressing a little. :D
 
I just got out of a Newbury Comics and I have vinyl sticker shock. Even with a 25% off sale I couldn't pull the trigger. I'll stick to the used record store.

Grateful Dead: wake up to find out. Nassau coliseum. Uniondale, NY 3/29/90. Lp 18o gram. 9 sides, one etching. 2 piece box with wrap. This was released in 2014 on the CD 'spring 90, the other one'. First time on vinyl.

The guys at my local record store were kinda pissed off over this. This has been the big story going into Record Store Day this year, and most of the coverage (including the Pitchfork article) fails to mention that this item will only be available at Third Man Records in Nashville. They are already tired of getting phone calls asking about this record, and having to tell potential customers that their store is not able to carry it.
 
As there are no stores in our town that are record shops I am only able to buy online on the next business day, so only left overs for me, but that's fine I'm not obsessed with getting anything in particular as long there is something that I might enjoy I'll be happy :yes:
 
I see that 24 Gone-The Spin as being a regional release, but does anyone know where that will be released? I would like to get that album.
 
Foo Fighters are playing a free show for 150 on RSD, all it took was a preorder of their new album. Little Niles Ohio is getting some love Saturday...... Dave G lived in Warren Ohio at some point in his youth, that's the connection for him.
 
I also picked up the Zombies release, as well as the reissue of Hawkwind's debut and 7" releases from Bowie/Tom Verlaine and Syd Barrett/REM. Unfortunately, I again failed to see any of the Rough Guide compilations. I'm beginning to doubt their existence.:D

Their appearance was a topic of conversation at one of the RSD locations I visited yesterday. A guy who lives here but works in the Niles area said he was planning to go to that store, but changed his plans when the Foo Fighters gig was announced. He seemed to think it would be more trouble than it was worth.:D
I'm not the biggest Foo fan in the world, but I dig the fact that Dave Grohl seems to have his heart in the right place.
