Records That You Wouldn't Mind Never Seeing Again

This One

I swear this is at every flea market and thrift store I have ever been to.

It's amazing how many of these I have never seen! Regionalism sure does play a big part in finding records.

I just went thrifting today, and it was like one continuous box of feces from one store to the next. Neil Diamond, Manilow, Streisand, Xmas, Gospel, Carpenters, etc. Whast the heck... Is that all people owned back then? I must have flipped through 1000 records today at yard sales and flea markets. I came home with ONE. The "All in the Family" LP, LOL. I don't know what it is, hopefully comedy bits. I never find anything cool. To be honest, I hardly ever look. I have to be in that special mood to flip through musty boxes of nothingness. I wish I could find something hard-rock or metal just once. I finally have a couple decent turntables, and I have nothing worthwhile to spin... Guess I'll have to hit eGay.

The worst and most ubiquitous: Jane Fonda Workout, Anything Olivia Newton John, Anything Streisand (except for "Guilty" which she did with Barry Gibb), Any Chicago after 1978, Flashdance sound track... and many more.

Various Percy Faith lps are a staple.I have to say though i picked up a "Porgy and Bess" copy by PF and I love it.

This is a real lounge/space age pop classic. Finally broke down and bought a copy on ePay,after hearing it a few years ago on a webcast.Hadn't seen one at a thrift.

This took me many years to find, especially one not trashed. Then I found two copies.Has some damn good 50s rock and roll/sax instrumentals on it,especially "Walkin' The Bop".

The thought of anything by Anne Murray just about makes me lose my lunch, but this one really makes me bury my head and whimper:

Oh, and here's an album I kind of like, but my cousin and I have a running joke about how at least one copy of this shows up every time we go record shopping:

Emerson Lake & Palmer
Tarkus

I am kind of tired of seeing it, frankly.

I'm going to get flamed for this, I just know it. Um, hang on a minute...

I came across an LP at a local antique mall some weeks ago - Golden Filth by the Fugs. Some of the subject matter would get me banned here, if I mentioned it, or at least posted the lyrics. "That thing's going where it deserves," I told myself. I had one last listen to "Nothing," and sent the LP on its trip to the landfill. It was in really bad condition anyway. :smoke:

BTW, on a long-ago visit to the local DAV, my daughter and I counted 36 Firestone Christmas albums. Can anyone top that?
