Te Be or Not to be....where is my coffee!
Hi there,

I am repairing a Denon PM-770 and I had to change the protection relay.
Now the original is not available anymore, so I got a replacement.
But the pins are not aligning with the holes in the print board.
I can fabricate an adapter from prefboard and make it work, but I am looking for a relay adapter/socket.
Does anybody know where I can order this.

I got advice from a friend to search for Finder relay sockets, but I am unable to find a suitable one.

Any suggestions or advice?

Look at the tech sheet for a Omron MY2-02-DC12 see if it is a drop in replacement.

-02 is PC board pins.

Are you sure you have the correct relay, Omron MY2-02-DC12?
The other one (Omron)is the one I ordered:

On this one what is the distance between the pin rows ? 7.5mm or 10mm
 
I can't measure the pin-layout. I don't have it in my house. It's at my office where I do the work.
When I look for the JC2AD-DC48V MATSUSHITA/PANASONIC if only find the JC2AF-DC48V MATSUSHITA/PANASONIC that is the equivalent with solder pins.
But I can't find that one on the internet.
 
I have a JC2aD-DC24V sitting in front of me and the pin spacing is 10mm

Yes I know but I'm trying to find a relay socket that does the job....but I'm searching the interweb for weeks now.
Got and advice from a fellow audio repair guy to look for Finder relay sockets. But that didn't work out to.
So I tried my luck on AK. Still have the faith it will work somehow.
 
It probably wouldn’t be too hard for someone with prior experience to design an adaptor board. Maybe talk to the poster who did the power supply board for his amp in the Yamaha sub forum.
You could then have a handful run off by one of the board houses that likes to do small runs. Still more expensive than a drop in but at least the footprint will be some standard relay if it ever needs to be changed again.

I really need to learn to do this myself. I have a few boards that I want to get made.
