Replace tweeter with ESS AMT HEIL ELITE

You're welcome. I hope that it's what you are looking for.

I haven't yet had the chance to hear an AMT of any kind but I just LOVE my magnetostat/ribbons. Silky smooth and at the same time startlingly detailed.

Cheers,
James

Thanks James, will give it a try. As it stands, the elites are turned all the way down and a bit too loud at 1k, when I go to 5k they are WAY to loud. Overall am still trying to physic myself into liking it. think I need to get the other stock tweeter, seller has one for me just have a two hour trip to get it.
I wonder if the T-7's are just not as efficient as the ESS lower end. I find it odd that the L-Pad can't turn the thing down all of the way.

It could just be synergy thing too. I'm running an AVR and some things sound great other not so much not finding a lot of in between. It takes a bit to drive the chapmans to be certain. I'm going to likely shelf the project for awhile, wif almost home with kids and think I'll put out the speakers she likes best, frankly one of my favorites too. Sony SS7400. But not before I get the original tweeters. The seller also offered to trade me the B110's for the original audax mids, even though he was told the lead would be fine, perhaps they are not.

I just feel like too many variables right now.

The general theme with speakers using the Heil is old world efficiency, but I don't see why attenuation can't solve the dilemma with a more modern lower end.
Oh well, consider it a learning experience and save them for another project.
