I have Rotel RA-985BX that I shorted the speaker wires on slightly, and i think it needs some deoxit on the knobs, it might need more attention, who knows. I don't have the remote for it. I loved the sound from it before I damaged it. It is driving B&W 683 speakers. I listen to vinyl and watch TV with this system.
Any suggestions for a replacement that will not be disappointing? Budget is maybe <$2500. I am interested in new or vintage. The Rotel is 100 watts per channel, iirc. I think I want a remote, but it's not a deal breaker either way.
I don't want to downgrade the output power too much. Any advice is appreciated.
