Replacing the Pre/Main Jumper on my Integrated Amplifier

When this question was last asked, someone pointed out that 8ga solid strand was good for this.

Glad you listened, though- some things we need to research for ourselves.
 
You are talking about changing a thick wire about 2 inches long for several inches of cable. How could that be an improvement? As long as the interconnects are insulated on the exposed part, you can't improve over that. (I have seen completely bare interconnects. That you don't want!)

I heard this as well, but have no personal experience. You could tin a solid copper wire though.
 
It does make a difference, i gave a little life back to this thread because now i have and C352 with pre out man in and the audioquest rca jumpers i have had for years, i find it to be just a little to much in the highs (sometimes), i have other rca jumpers but they might lack a little openness in the midrange but don't have to much in the highs, sounds just a tiny bit more neutral, less intrusive

The one im using atm bought on ebay (not available on ebay any more)

I run my speaker cables through a vat of bacon fat before installing them and it really smooths out the highs....
