Nut house of the Universe
OK just a little research trying to see if there is a relationship between the type of source we listen to and how complicated our drinking habits might be.

I mean if the most effort you can take to drink a beer is to pop a tab do you then go to the effort to play vinyl with all the ritual things you need to do to properly play vinyl.

Or do you go to the effort in your drinking habits as well as your listening habits.

A well mixed drink a slowly poured beer in a glass or a nice glass of wine (if you pour from a box please check under the pull tab options LOL)

I know a couple more options could be offered but ten is the limit deal with it.

I drink scotch and don't consider that a "mixed drink". However, I will listen to a record, cd, or other with or without a scotch.

The Beer has to be out of a bottle or on tap.
No vinyl or CDs for this old man, Lifes to short and moving faster every year.
Pull it all up through the music server, never have to get my lazy ass out of my chair, except to grab another beer.:beerchug:

Depends on the type of music, and the form of beverage in question.

For me it goes like this;

Non alchoholic beverage-
Go to great lengths to ensure great sound, whatever the genre of music.

Beer-
I will get drunk relatively slowly, So take reasonable steps to ensure good sound.
Initially, anyhow. Usually Rock or Country. (Although I'm not a big Country fan.)

Wine-
Goes to my head more quickly. However, it is a mellower buzz and I'm usually listening to Classical or Jazz, so the sound has to be good. For the first hour anyhow.

Liquor-
Usually Single Malt Scotch, or some kind of mixture. I will be a bit tipsy within minutes, absolutely s**tfaced within the hour.
So, I could drag a 16 penny nail through the grooves and send the signal through string and foam cups. And it would sound F**KING AWESOME.

I'm unpredictable, it could be a can of Budweiser, a tall mug of Guinness, a martini (gin), or a glass of scotch on the rocks. Source material could be CD, vinyl, cassette, or RTR.

I will say though, if I'm drinking Bud from a can, the music is usually southern rock. Freebird!!!

Need to get one of those big dogs to fetch you a tallboy from the fridge.:D

Only drink beer from a glass.Love getting a good buzz and listening to all my gear.It all sounds GREAT under the influence.

why not orange juice, or even sprite mixed or 7up mixed with cranberry juice?
now that is good:thmbsp:

Lately it has been bourbon and vinyl for me, but as long as my drink is not from a can it is all good. Oh, and don't forget the :smoke: !

Beer from a bottle and vinyl until my motor skills start to become impaired (sp?). Then I switch to CD's. Don't usually like others to be drinking around my "stuff" either so it's a just me kinda thing. If and when others are involved we move to the "Soundesign" listening room.

When the first couple of beers from the first 12 pack are opened, the B&W's and CD's or high-bitrate MP3's will do just fine. Gotta watch those clip led's though as the cooler gets lighter and the recycle bin gets heavier.

I don't touch the turntable after 2 or 3 beers. I have a "naked" stylus, need I say more?:nono:

About midway through the second 12 pack, Thrusters can start to have a great tonal quality that only someone with a BAL twice the legal limit can appreciate:D.

Been listening to a lot of CDs recently anyway, but after a few beers I tend to get even more lazy and pull up itunes and feed it through my kenwood and advents.

it's nice.
