I’ve learned a lot on this forum and this is my first post.
I have some Sansui SP-3500 and SP-2500 speakers I’m restoring. I have recapped them based on a posting I found here and had the woofers re-foamed by MillerSound.
The one thing I haven’t done is replace the resistors. I can’t find exactly similar ones. I bought some similar looking “sand-cast” that I found on part-express that have the same Ohm rating (16 and 10) but at higher voltage but they are just too big for the boards.
My questions:
How important is it to replace the resistors? I’m not sure how to test them.
And is there a smaller type of resistor that might work?
I appreciate any thoughts.
