I have a SX-440 where the coating on it looks completely dry and worn out. I'm wondering if I could just sand that down and put some stain or clear coat on it. If so what should I use? I also have a SX-626 that's sort of rough. Only the problem is more that its chipped. Is it possible to strip the veneer on that and replace it with new veneer? Lastly, I have (2) SX-650's. One of them arrived in the mail with a broken case. So I bought a cheap replacement that I had planned on taking the case off of. Then when I received the 2nd SX-650 it was in such better condition that I don't want to just yank the case and leave it as a parts unit. These are all just for my collection and hobby. Not trying to get rich just restore them the best I can. I know I just asked a lot. Just wondering what the community thoughts are?
