Revox A700 Meter Help

Hi
Have a Revox A700- but channel A side-- needle popped out of jewel- needs to be serviced--Any suggestions on where to go or how to repair?

I doubt that that meter can be repaired - also doubt if a new replacement meter is still available. Best bet would be to contact Jack Clark at JM Technical Arts (the US Revox repair station) to see what he says.

Also, search the German eBay site (they have the most Revox activity) if you want to see if anyone has parted out an A700's meters - I haven't seen anything like this on the US eBay listings in a long time.

IF you can't get it fixed or replaced, let me know. I have had some dealings with my own A700, and have a stereo microscope. I can give it a shot, but no promises.

I still kick myself for not doing a BIN on a NEW A700 meter on the bay a few months ago.

Oh well.... at least mine works again.

Re VU meter There is a digital version available from Revox on line de it also has a better dynamic range Second hand meters go for about £ 180 about the same price as the digital version
