ReVox B215 will stop unless "pause" was key-in after "play"?

Thanks a lot James for all your help and you are right in thinking this way. The issue is that this came from a radio station and not been used for years and this adds to the problems I think.
I could use it just as a playback deck along with my Nak 582 so there is no rush really. It's just proving to be harder to fix than my A807s!
I shall leave it be for now until I find a solution what to do.

Hi James,
Following my message yesterday I spent some time analyzing the circuitry again and I started having suspicions on 4 or 5 ICs on both the NR and Record boards. IC1 on the NR board (4052) and the IC 2/8 (7528), IC11 (4052), IC15 & IC 19 (both 4559 op-amps). I decided to start with the 2 ICs 4052 and bingo..IC11 on the Rec board failed the test. I do have replacements and will test the deck and see what happened but something from the description on the SM this morning made me believe that something is not quite right with the eq on the middle frequencies. Fingers crossed I will get there as I seem to be closing in on the issue.
This gave me an opportunity to fit sockets to these 2 ICs so far and as I have also a set of 7528 D/A converters (just 2), I will also take this opportunity to test them out and swap them with the new ones and fit sockets to them.
