RF7 vs RF83

RF7 vs RF83 Which is your preference and why? Based on having listened to both.

If I remember right from a few years ago when they switched over, the 83's have a little less of that classic Klipsch sound (read: smoother), and the 7's have a little more of that big speaker 'weight' and 'depth'. Not that the 83's don't have great bass response and the ability to kick you in the but at high volumes...just that the 7's seemed a little more...more. Also, I don't want to give the impression that the 7's are harsh or anything...just the the 83's go another step towards...I dunno PSB-ness.

Yes, that's pretty much along the lines I've been thinking. I think the 83's a little more defined. I little less weight and "volume"" to the bass, but a touch more control and taughtness. Not to many RF7 or RF83 owners around, here. Can't complain about either speaker. I can add my sub to the 83's if I want more...but not really needed, mostly.
