Rock and Roll "Christmas songs" -- Your Favorite

March of the Toy Soldiers(Nutcraker) - Trans Siberian Orchestra
Happy Holidays,
Jim

OK -- let me try this again. :D

Your favorite, non-Christmas song, that still seems appropriate for the winter/holiday season.

It doesn't appear on a Christmas-specific recording, but is "seasonal" in its own way.

No mentions of Santa Claus, elves, reindeer, Christmas trees or presents, caroling, drummer boys, etc.

Another example: Jethro Tull -- Solstice Bells from "Songs from the Wood"

OK, I can play that game too :-)

Snow by Jen Trynin.

If it snows
for one more day
I may just have to get my shovel
From the shed
Or maybe, or make me an angel
instead
Think I'll dig a great big old hole
In my head

If it snows
for one more day
I just may up and roll my life
around the yard
Putting two of everything
In my car
And dream of driving away
Someplace far

You might be able to hear it by following this link :-) It's a mofo of a song (IMNSHO)

:lmao: My faovorite as well, saw it for the first time yesterday:D

Band is "Tourniquet"...which is oddly enough, a Christian metal band. There most popular album is actually a weird metal, expiremental mix...some jazzy stuff and all that. I'm still trying it all out.

I may try to think of a holiday-related song...none are coming to mind, though around now I really like Ennio morricone, fantastic atmosphere...and a wide mix of feeling in the song. "esctasy of gold" seems fitting:yes:.

I doubt you'll be able to turn this bus around at this point. :D Maybe next week?

In this case? Song For A Winter's Night - Sarah McLachlan

The Band ~ Christmas Must Be Tonight #1 favorite.

second for Run Rudolph Run. I like Chucks the best. Keith Richards and The Grateful Dead second. And now thanks to the link above, Lemmy Killmeister does a good job with it too which I never heard before.
