@sberger you really pay the SF tax living where you live. There is a decent set of 101’s on eBay for 500obo. If you have some skill with sanding and stretching new grill cloth they would look great with minimal elbow grease.

Yes I know about the Bay Area "tax" . Other then the fires, earthquakes and flooding, and increased heat waves, it's a nice place to live

In any event, looks like I will soon be the owner of the JR149's on BT. I thank you and everybody else for your comments and education. As always on AK, very enlightening.

For driving with low-power Tube amp like the MC225, the 15 Ohm version sounds better. I am NOT a fan of 300B SET driving the LS3/5A speakers
