Rotel RX-202MKII Receiver?

Has anyone heard of this receiver?
I found one of CL for $75 and was wondering how good it is and is it worth the price.

NOPE! Sold mine in excellent shape for less than 1/2 of this but it was adequate for what it was:scratch2:

It may be a little bit high, but it depends on what you are willing to pay.

My Brother's was about a 1973/74 and different layout. If it is just the reciever, give it a test listen- they did tend to have a notable noise floor, but 4 mil spec transistors can correct most of that.

Chances are that one has been worked on more than once, or has been in storage and will need it soon. Caps age badly with those.

Rotell in general are middle of the road amps based on what I have seen and listened to. Their original speakers were "ok" but nowhere near the quality of the Pioneers of the same era for materials used (usually vinyl clad 1/2 inch particle board.). Speakers were also typically 2 way's with a 3 inch Piezo horn tweeter and 8 inch woofer with actually a soft treated fabric edge rather than foam (from those I have diesected.).

If it works and looks good and is local that's not a bad price. 50 watts per channel and a good tuner for $65? Why not? Just make sure you check everything out before you lay down your hard earned cash. It's not worth the cost of servicing.
