Agree, way too steep, while their going price new may have eclipsed that once they went out of business I dont think many people knew about them. I have a pair, sounds great and like it over some of the jbl's i had. I think I paid $70 for my pair but the rear surrounds were shot.

I bought replacement passives for mine. The Elan's are one of my favorite speakers. My daughter has them on a Sansui AU-G99X and they sound fantastic. They would be in my main system if the wife would let me have them in the family room. They are to big for her liking.
I prefer them over my L100's.
