RT-707 hub question...

Hey guys I recently purchased a 707 at a super deal, just needed minor maintenance work. I'm fairly new to rtr but not vintage pioneer components. The question I have is about the little black pads on the spindle hubs. Can these pads be replaced and where do I find them? One of my hubs has 2 pads the are slightly shorter in height than the others, resulting in the tape not winding flat. I use a small strip of black electrical tape on these 2 pads and it seems to work a little better. Both spindles are straight with no run out. Any help would be much appreciated!

I have attached a drawing of the RT-707 reel table assembly. The "pads" you asking about are part of the molded rubber reel sheet (REB-215) and not separate stick-on pads although it may be possible to use some thin rubber sheet and rubber cement to lengthen the pads that are shorter than the others. Another alternative is to check on eBay for someone parting out an RT-707 and to purchase a reel table which includes an REB-215 and also includes the spindle assembly (parts RLA-321, RBH-162 and RNG-094) and reel base (RNG-112). These are helpful to have on hand as replacement parts.

I would just look for a suitable thickness self adhesive pad material from the hardware store, cut to fit and replace all of the pads, so you have an even thickness. Clean out all residue of old pads before putting in the new ones. The padding is sold in the furniture gizmos sections, like replacement rubber feet, etc.

After completing this, you will need to readjust the reel tables to center the tape on the reel so tape winds in the center and does not drag it's edges on any guides in the tape path. Remember that plastic reels are thicker than metal. Adjust each table for type of reel you are using
 
Thanks guys for the info! I was thinking the pads were single pcs with a sticky back. Lol. Think I may leave it as is since it does function, just thought they were replaceable verily easy.
