RT-707 - Tension arm spring and stopper rubber

marini

vinyl-addicted
Hi all,

As I mentioned on a previous thread, I just got my very first Reel-to-reel, an RT-707.
This morning I opened it to apply some deoxit on the contacts and pots, and noticed something odd with both tension arms springs (RBH-329). They were looking more like wires! Whoever "serviced" the machine before looped them around the arm so they would still have some tension.
Also, on the right hand arm the stopper rubber (REB-208/207) is missing.
I looked around (mainly on the auctions website) and couldn't find replacements to purchase.
Would anyone kindly point me to a website or someone that I could buy them from, please?

Thanks!

Let me research, but two suggestions. Post this q in the tape player forum here on AK, and also look a tapeheads forum.

There are aftermarket rubber pinch rollers available.. goog lee Terry's rollers. I have his product on 4 of my r2r..

Hi elvi,

Thanks again. I ended up finding the whole arm assemblies, which come with the springs.
And I was wrong about the stopper. Just the left hand side should have one, so it's all correct.
