You have the early model board. That board could stand to be recapped and have new transistors put in. Here is my list for that board (with credit to markthefixer), simple and cheap and adds the flyback diode for the relay coil.

Also, since you'll be replacing the 2SA726 transistors on the power amp replace the two 2SC1451 transistors as well, they are just as troublesome if not more so. Replacement is 512-KSC3503DSTU. You will need to enlarge the board holes slightly for the 3503s as well. Remember that the replacements are of a different lead configuration than the originals! Pay attention to how you put the replacements in. If you need help with this please ask, no such thing as a stupid question here.
